2016 is almost a wrap.
This past year has brought more travel, adventure, and huge work changes for me. At the beginning of the year, I was working at 22News in Springfield as a news producer.
Now, I’m a beat reporter at The Recorder, a newspaper covering Franklin County. Because of that, my photography has changed significantly — now, it’s a part of my work; thus, I shoot more, but not necessarily as freely. I was also offered a part-time position as a staff writer at GoNOMAD.com, which I’m now happily a part of.
Artistically, I’d say my style has become safer — my images aren’t quite as raw, because I shoot for work. That’s for better or worse.
On the overseas travel front, I went to Mexico and visited with El Rancho Del Rey boys for the third time, traveled through West Sweden for the second time, and experienced Iceland for the first time. In-country, I went to New York a few times, Georgia, Alabama, Cape Cod and Boston.
I’m probably missing some places in there. Overall, it’s been a great year! I’ve once again experienced life to the fullest, and look forward to the images I’ll make in 2017!
