The making of the Greenfield Recorder newspaper in Greenfield. This 10-minute short film documents the making of the newspaper from a story’s inception to the paper’s delivery. The project took months of filming and a substantial amount of editing. It’s a snapshot of an industry that is changing rapidly.
In 2017, a tornado swept through Pumpkin Hollow in Conway. This reporting was done from the heart of the community a few days following.
This video of the 2017 Women’s March in downtown Greenfield took first prize in the Spot News Video category of the 2017 New England Newspaper and Press Association’s Better Newspaper Competition. The vast majority of the content that can be seen in the video, including the interviews, was filmed by Andy Castillo. A few of the expansive shots from atop the building were filmed by Paul Franz. The video was edited together by Castillo.
Each year, the Barnes Air National Guard Base holds a ceremony honoring those from the base who’ve died. This reporting was done for the base’s department of public affairs.
